Frequently asked questions

Microlearning Platforms are a combination of software and content. The platform is the tool that allows you to create, manage, deliver and track your microlearning courses. It also provides analytics on how learners interact with each course so you can see what’s working well for them (and not). Content includes text, images or video which will be used in your courses. You may have some existing content already but it’s likely that most organizations need to develop new material specifically for their training programs using this format.

There are two types of Microlearning Platforms. The first is a platform that allows you to create your own micro-content and the second type is one where you can use pre-made content from other sources, such as YouTube or TED Talks. Both have their pros and cons but I prefer using my own content because it’s more engaging for learners (and me.).

Microlearning Platforms are a great way to deliver training and education. They can be used for both internal and external learning, as well as compliance training. The benefits of using microlearning include the following:

Microlearning Platforms are not for everyone. They require a lot of time and effort to create, manage and maintain the content. It is also important that you have an understanding of how people learn best in order to make sure your micro-content meets their needs.

Any company that wants to improve their employees’ performance and productivity.

The criteria for buying a Microlearning Platforms should be based on the following factors:

Microlearning Platforms are implemented in a variety of ways. Some companies have their own internal development teams that build the platform from scratch, while others use an off-the-shelf solution and customize it to fit their needs. The most common implementation is for organizations to purchase or license a prebuilt microlearning platform and then integrate it with existing learning management systems (LMS). This allows them to leverage all of the functionality they already have in place without having to start over from scratch.

When you have a large number of learners, and the content is not changing very often. If your organization has more than 100 employees or if there are multiple departments that need to learn from each other, then it’s time for Microlearning Platforms.
